Forged, Not Rolled

Standard large-bore cylinders are often made from rolled plates bent and welded. For converter tilting, this is a liability. Our barrels are forged from a single ingot of 42CrMo steel. This ensures that the hoop stress generated by pressure spikes during the “slag splashing” phase is contained by a homogeneous material structure, eliminating the risk of catastrophic seam rupture.

Heavy Trunnion Integration
